“Never Alone” Premieres Today – Watch the Interview with Director Klaus Härö!
Klaus Härö’s new film, “Never Alone”, hits theaters today, telling the moving story of Abraham Stiller, who helped Jewish refugees during World War II. Co-written with Jimmy Karlsson, the film is loosely based on Rony Smolar’s biography Uncle Stiller.
“Never Alone” is set in the dark days leading up to World War II, when Europe was on the brink of chaos, and Finland opened its doors to refugees from Germany and Austria. At the heart of this story is Finnish businessman and humanitarian Abraham Stiller, who did everything in his power to assist Jewish refugees in Finland, many of whom were tragically deported to Auschwitz. The film brings their story to light.
